Take It 2 The Limit
16.1hh Bay Selle Francais, born 2000
Breeder: Gerard Sabatier, France Owner: Hartpury College
Take It 2 The Limit was hand picked in France 2004 for Hartpury College by Olympic Gold medallist Leslie Law who trained and lightly competed him during 2005 with great success and crowned.the season with Take It 2 The Limit being placed fourth in the final of the Winergy Burghley Young Event Horse and third in the final of the PAVO British Breeding Championships.
Olympic Rider Jeanette Brakewell took over the education of the promising young Stallion from Leslie in 2006, and the partnership is clearly working very well. Highlights include being placed at the CCI* at the Mitsubishi Motors Hartpury Three Day Event in August and winning at Purston Manor.
Exciting times lie ahead as the young stallion has been identified as having Olympic potential by the BEF who have selected him for the BEF World Class ‘Equine Pathway’ Programme leading to the 2012 Olympic Games.
Take It 2 The Limit's Sire, the promising Gaub (National Stallion), died unfortunately during his second breeding season. His Sire was the great Count Ivorxx, and his Dam Sahelle was by the famous Double Espoir; son of Ibrahim and sire of more than 20 approved sons. Take It 2 The Limit's Dam, Peseta De Sivola, was very fertile and produced a number of very good eventers and show jumpers.
Take It 2 The Limit's first foals are born 2006 and look very promising. They have very good confirmation and have inherited his lovely temperament and excellent gaites.
Take It 2 The Limit's has showed extremely high fertility - 90,9% of the mares inseminated with fresh semen 2006 concieved at the first attempt!

GARRYBAWN SKYLARK
He was bred by Aloysius Duffy from Castleblayney, Co Monaghan in 1985, from his very successful mare ‘Garrybawn Queen’ RID. She bred 13 foals to Skylark, 7 of which became RID mares themselves.
He is the only stallion son of both his dam and sire.
‘Skylark’ RID was one of the finest draught sires to stand in Ireland siring many horses including ‘Softee’ who went on to breed ‘Sumas Murphy’s Law’ RID and ‘Brown Dollie’.
Garrybawn Skylark is a stunning, quality, old fashioned Irish Draught sire from the oldest bloodlines available. He stood for many years at the Carrickatee Stud outside Castleblayney, where his sire stood, with Sam Burgess, until horse breeding in Ireland dictated that Irish Draught sires were no longer in demand and barely used.
If you are looking for a stallion to produce you a safe, sound horse with a big heart, sound temperament and ability to perform should you wish to compete, then he is your man.
He complements many different types of mares and he passes his outstanding temperament to all.
